The garden of the Matsunaga Memorial Hall was assembled in the style called the round walk system.
The pond in the centre is full of lotus - a very popular Japanese flower which would immediately catch your attention.
The surrounding trees are of different sorts, shapes and characteristics.
Walking along the path makes you feel at home and forget about the summer discomfort temporarily.

The garden of the Matsunaga Memorial Hall

The memorial is filled with sacred plants and artificial attractions which would help you to understand the enormous efforts the previous residents devoted to their interest in art and architecture.
Hoping to become an architect myself, the special cultural decorations and constructions boosted my expectations of what simple materials like wood and stone could bring.

A artificial attractions(The stony tower of nine piles)

This is one of the so-called Tatemono used for tea ceremonies.
In the middle of various trees and flowers, the building reminded me of extraordinary houses only seen in paintings and fictions.
The house was constructed with various types of timber.
The ceiling was especially made low for a sense of humility.
Everyone, no matter rich or poor is equal in this space and enjoy the same atmosphere of peace and ease which can only be found no where else.
